Sun N Fun Re-cap
The Diamond exhibit at Sun N Fun was a show hot-spot. There was a non-stop stream of visitors to the D-JET mock-up, Technology Tent and D-JET Exhibit, and with the big news of the show being the launch of the Diamond Flight Center Program, visitors crowded the DFC display where they enjoyed an opportunity to see Diamond-Simulation's full scale Flight Training Device.

How hard is it to transition from one aircraft to another, the DA20 to the DA42, for instance?
Our piston airplanes, from the HK36 motorglider, through the DA42 Twin Star, all share some common genes, despite being very different aircraft. Intuitive center stick controls, unmatched visibility, cockpit commonality, low drag, great glide performance, superior runway and climb performance and exceptional controllability and stability. As such, the transition from DA20 to DA40 to DA42 and back is very natural. Anyone who has flown in any Diamond airplane will instantly feel familiarity in any of our models. It is a feature especially appreciated by flight training students as they transition from ab-initio training to IFR and multi engine ratings.
